Also, we moved from our old office where we have been for 8 years to brand new premises we bought a few months ago.
After and 8 week build at the new place we’re in to the new place.

Everything was moved on Friday so it all looks like a bit of a bomb site, but I’ll take a few pics and put them here on the site once we have settled in.

The week ahead is going to be interesting. Most of the week I’m travelling around Britain filming the next visits for Restoration Man Series 2. The weather is battering the building sites and there is a chance we might not get to a few locations because of the snow.
I have full respect for anyone taking on a Restoration project, or any kind of building project, at this time of year! Its hard work fighting against the elements and the dark nights.

I have to say that it was an absolute honour and a privelege to meet him.

He is incredibly passionate about the built environment and the impact we have on our natural surroundings.
As an architect I’m also passionate about how our buildings and our communities respond to the demands of 21st Century living while at the same time being honest, appropriate and sustainable. There are enormous challenges ahead and because of this I’m proud to announce that I have agreed today to become an Ambassador of the Prince’s Foundation and also to be an Ambassador for the 2011 START Garden Party.
There are many more exciting projects in the pipeline, but unfortunately I’m not allowed to say too much for the moment. As soon as I can, I’ll make sure you are the first to know.

I honestly believe that, even in these difficult times, the events of 2011 and 2012 will have a positive effect on the confidence and strength of Britain and I hope that in some small way the homes and architecture we create over the next few years will contribute to that.
Throw in an exciting Royal Wedding next year and the country is going to be buzzing!

I’m off for a quiet 10 minutes to reflect on what actually happened …I still can’t quite believe it.

My office has won some am

Sir John Soane Museum

azing commissions recently so we are very busy and we’re currently refurbishing our new office that we bought only last week. Really exciting!

Very excited about Thursday night too…I’m a patron of the Sir John Soane Museum and we have an incredible fund raising banquet at The Banqueting House designed by Inigo Jones on Whitehall.
A wonderful event in a beautiful building. Hopefully we will raise lots of pennies for the continued restoration of John Soane’s House.

Then on Friday, Saturday and Sunday I’m at Grand Designs Live at the NEC in Birmingham.
A huge event full of live talks, seminars and the first launch event for my new book.

I hope to see you there where I can personally sign you a copy.
